It’s probably happened to you. You have a great piece of content you’re sure will catch fire on social media but hours after posting it’s clear it will have about as much momentum as a dud firework.  Well, it might just boil down to a really simple solution.

You know that maxim that “timing is everything”? In this case it’s particularly true. The folks at link-shortening company Bit.Ly found in a study that time is all-important when it comes to posting content to Twitter, Facebook and other platforms, and they have cool infographics to prove it.

In short, they found that the best time is generally noon to 5 p.m., but of course there are variations on that depending on the day.
